As with so many other people, I am fascinated with Loki's outfits and the differences between his outfits that kind of serve the same purpose in Thor versus The Avengers.
This is a VERY SIMPLE comparison image. I might do something more detailed later on (for example: close-ups of vambraces, back of jacket, slacks, collars, boots, etc.)
I made this, as with all "my works" (not really mine in the sense of the word as I did not create the ideas, images or what's in the images; I simply rearranged them) for my own viewing pleasure but after stumbling upon deviantART & finding such a large Loki following, I figured I'd contribute what I have just to be nice. Enjoy!
Huh. In an interview, Tom Hiddleston was talking about the difference between Loki's attire in Thor (where it looks... shinier, and newer looking) and then in The Avengers (where it looks rather scratched up and dirtied). I could never see what he meant clearly until now.
I have no idea why, but I favour his outfit in "Thor" much more than I do the "Avengers" version of casual wear. I do adore his battle armour, especially his helmet. I heard the horns were brought forward and enhanced to give him a more demonic look?
Cute? CUTE?! My dear, you have an odd idea of what cute is supposed to mean. I would think "cute" would be: warm, fuzzy, soft. In that idea Loki would be the anti-cute... he's more cold, sharp and hard.
ahhh i see what you mean. when i say cute i mean sort of like hot but sweeter. like a different version of a babyface. u know? and good way to describe him too; cold, sharp, and hard. i like to say that he reeks of sexiness, yet under that lucious cold sheet there's the golden heart of a sweetheart. i can see behind his icy eyes and in his sweet smile. can you see it?
Ah, yes. He is definitely a looker. I still find "reeks of sexiness" funny. But no, I don't see any golden heart in there. Maybe a better person could be brought out of him, but he will always have resentment, bitterness, anger and hate in him. Controlling it so that he is a better member of society will be the key to him becoming a "better person". But he had no golden heart to begin with, I see no way for him to create one now without a complete memory wipe and personality change. But then he wouldn't be "him" anymore.
ahh i see what you mean about the better person to be brought out of him. it's in there but most people don't see it. the poor dear. and he did kind of have a golden heart, you know, when he was younger. and i can see the personality of an adorable sweetheart behind that smile. it's not hard to see. ^^
